I have recently begun working with individuals in our area (not just
from our group) conducting a business training and consulting
computer users at their homes. I am trying to be VERY careful as to
where to draw the line within our users group.
The Users group, IMHO, is designed to offer free help and advice to
individuals at our meetings and through our email list. I encourage

I always tell my members that if they bring it to the meeting it is free
because it becomes a good hands on.
Otherwise I charge 6-10.00 hour depending on situation, mostly to cover
time and gas since I live 60 miles away from them. I also tried to do
free support over phone, before driving to town.
Of course the other techs in area think I am too cheap. (We won't talk
about that other computer).
