How often do you have meetings? 1 afternoon and one evening
Where do you hold your meetings (school; library; community/church
hall; local Apple dealer; other)? Recreation center
Do you have to pay for your meeting location? If so, how much?
Yes, $35 per hour
On average, how many people do you get to each meeting?
afternoon, 40-50 evening, 100-115
How many are members and how many are visitors/guests? almost
all members
Do you charge a fee to attend meetings? Just yearly dues. $7 per
family
If so, how much?
What resources do you have at meetings;
Projector fYES
Projection screen (or do you project straight on to a wall) YES
Computer to present from YES, provided by presenter
Sound System (Mic and speaker system) YES
Ability to record video or audio (to make podcast, or stream) N/A
Internet access (dialup, broadband, wireless)? YES, BROADBAND.
We had the building wired.
Do you own the above equipment? YES
Is it supplied by the venue?
Does your presenter have to provide their own equipment? just
their computer
How many presenters do you get from external companies? NONE
How many of presenters are "club members"? ALL
Do you rely on one or two individuals within the club to do "all"
the presentations? WE HAVE ABOUT 4
Do you have "backup" presenters, in case the primary one falls
through? HAS NEVER HAPPENED
Do you have a "structured" presentation? YES, AT THE EVENING MEETING
Do you offer a Q&A session? YES, THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE DAY
MEETING. A BRIEF ONE IN THE EVENING.
How do you select topics for your meetings? WHAT MEMBERS ASK FOR
OR SHOW INTEREST IN,
When do you decide on your topics (A few days before the meeting; a
couple of weeks before; a few months in advance; beginning of the
year; other)? WE GET TOGETHER ABOUT TWICE A YEAR AND SET A
SCHEDULE UP
