Luc,
I wrote an article for Peachpit Press recently, titled "Running
Automator Workflows from Mail Rules." You can find it here...

Also, my MacTech article "Introduction to Scripting Mail" discusses
how to run AppleScripts from Mail rules...

Luc,
Mail rules (Preferences > Rules) can start a task automatically, but
they can't launch a workflow directly. They can execute an
AppleScript, so you could write a short script to launch your
workflow. Mail rules can also delete the email which triggers them.

Hi,
I receive a backup file as attachment to an email on a daily basis.
Does anyone know how to start a task automatically when receiving
the email, and how to delete the email at the end of the task?
I already have the rest of the task scheduled but I need to start
it manually and delete the email manually afterwards.

Luc Bernard
