Ive experienced quite a few issues that with automator since maverick was introduced last year. I think there is and underlying issue with the os that is causing the automatpr workflow or application not to function correctly. Have you tried to create this application and use a variable along side with it. There is one that is labeled path that allows you to specify a new path?
