>> FWIW, ANCS does actually show up when doing service discovery using>> CoreBluetooth from OS X and iOS, but you'll need to connect first to the>> iOS device from which you want to consume ANCS.>>>> Martijn>>>> Pebble: E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android>> http://www.getpebble.com>> Tel: +1 (650) 308-9383>>>>> Martijn,> Can you please detail your view / experience ?> I have 2 iphone 5S.> - iPhone1 has an application that scan for peripherals but how to discover> iPhone2 (no app is installed on it) ?> - Need iPhone1 scan for a dedicated serviceId (ANCS serviceId) on iPhone2 ?You'll need an app on iPhone2 as well. iOS does not advertise by itself otherwise.
So you'll need an app to advertise and in order to enable iPhone1 to connect to iPhone2.
Once connected, iPhone1 can query the services on iPhone2. ANCS should be part of the response on iOS 7 or newer.
You can try this using a BTLE test app like LightBlue (this test app supports both central and peripheral roles).
