Thanks for your reply. This could be related, but may be different than the one I'm seeing as the iOS 7.1 app is in the foreground.

This is not an issue with Mavericks and iOS 7.x and it is not an issue with iOS 8.x and Yosemite.

We are having to connect to every device, discover services, and then disconnect if it's not the right device.
