Well, I guess with ObjC the importance of pointers somewhat diminished. One
still needs to understand them, but not *THAT* thoroughly. Actually, I can't
even remember when I used -> last time ;)

Also the unions and bitfields are next to useless today, and of course the
complete standard libraries (as described in K&R) are more or less
negligible.
