Can someone explain to me how to make TIFF images which have
transparency? I am trying to make the icons for the toolbar, but there
is always a white background, and it looks terrible.

I am using a transparent background in photoshop before exporting to
TIFF, so I am not sure why it is using "white" for the background of the tiff.

IconComposer also accepts the PNG format, which preserves transparency. I think PNG uses loss-less compression, but I noticed a very, very slight difference in my icon's drop shadow.
