It feels still *VERY* so, especially if the panel is enlarged. These panels
should have a widget to switch whether they are floating or not (just like it
was with some 3rd party apps in NeXTStep, if you remember).

Of course.

It's the one window which does not have a close box, or which can't become
the first responder for any reason (in this case it is not a principal
attribute, but just a consequence: the window _would_ be closed by Cmd-w _if_
it is a FR, but since it never is a FR, then it would not happen).

_ANY_ window which has close box and can become FR.
