2 Q's: BezierPaths, and Better Control Examples?

Hi guys,

Let me first just say that this list is an *excellent* resource - I've learned more from lurking on it in the last few days than I would have had I not!

Got two questions for anyone that's got time to answer:

1. The last time I really looked at BezierPath's under OSX, they were slow due to some sort of driver issue - i.e. their display wasn't accelerated.

Is this likely to *ever* be addressed, in terms of optimizations, or is there a better way to accomplish what I'm currently doing with BezierPaths: realtime transforms of GUI-style objects, with simple hit-testing interaction?

Actually, that looks like I cheated and made 1 question = four, so I'll be brief with my next one:

2. Are there any good examples out there of Cocoa/ProjectBuilder friendly custom controls (knobs, buttons, sliders, etc) that *also* demonstrate the plugin architecture for IB/PB? I've seen ABC, but I'd prefer to get source, and don't have the budget to buy it from them: Are there others, has anyone discovered yet?

Being a moderately old-school Delphi hacker, I'm curious about ObjC/IB's extensible control capabilities... and in my opinion, OSX (Mac crowd in general) is prime territory for some *really* interesting custom control code, especially in my neck of the woods (music systems).

Well, thanks for reading, and hope these questions are worth answering to someone!
