I don't think so,
NS prefix started with EOF1.2 which was the beginning of Foundation framework.
Nothing to do with Sun.

Yeah.

AFAIK the prefix was changed from NX to NS when Sun began working on OpenSTEP, so I guess it's "Next/Sun".
