I was wondering, if anyone has any suggestions as to how to have a sheet that is modal for an NSTabViewItem (in that, you can switch between the tabs when its displayed, just, when on the tabviewitem which has the sheet displayed, you cant do anything until the sheet is dismissed...

I don't think so. Sheets exist within the context of a window... In order to do what you want, the sheet would have to pop down from underneath the tabs, right? I'm pretty sure that's not possible.

It *might* be possible, since apple does something similar, where the sheet pops out of the toolbar, rather than the window (in the "Customize Toolbar..." thing)...

However, I have decided not to, as I didn't think of the problems that might impose on a user, that Eric pointed out.

It might be useful reference however, if someone has any idea how to have sheets pop out of objects other than the Window, like how Apple does with the Customize Toolbar sheet.
