Ummmm.... Really? Have you used PB? Not the monstrous impersonation
that PBX is, but the previous version? In any case, am I allowed not to
like it? Or is that heresy? Whatever.
You can have whatever opinion you like. That's why it's your opinion. I
too, however, think that PBX is the best IDE that I've ever used. Fits
my level quite nicely, and I like all the flexibility and functionality
that is actually provided in those eleven menus. I will admit, however,
that I have not had the privilege of using PB on a NeXTSTEP/OpenStep
system.
If you need valium to deal with PB, and you want something simpler,
try REALbasic. It's not Cocoa, but whatever.
I see... VisualBasic perhaps?
If you want Cocoa without without the all the complexity, then maybe
use Applescript studio.
I see...
Well, that was some really useful advise, something I can recognize and
appreciate when I see it.
That's the way it is. I'm sure this isn't what you wanted to hear, but
you've got basically one alternative if you want a well-supported,
professional IDE, and that is CodeWarrior. And it's Cocoa support wasn't
that great, last I heard. If you want to try some of the
shareware/freeware ones that are floating around, there's a few on
VersionTracker, but I haven't tried them myself. As I said, I like PB.
Thanks a lot.
You're welcome.
