First of all, the Carbon-development mailing list makes sense for this
question, but the Cocoa one doesn't really, since people here are less
likely to know much about OS 9 extensions.
To write the OS X equivalent of an extension, make an application that
runs in the background, using NSUIElement, and make it a login item.

Hi everyone. I am an avid Basic programmer with REALbasic but I can't

Can
anyone point me to or tell me anything on porting it from a OS 9
Extension
to a OS X Extension or a background program or extension (whatever it
is in
OS X now). This extension is gonna be listening on a port and it will be
displaying windows and sending data through the socket. Just to let you
all
know. Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks a lot!
