OS 9 Extension...

Hi everyone. I am an avid Basic programmer with REALbasic but I can't use RB
for this task. I am goning to be getting (hopefully) the source from someone
who has made an OS 9 extension most likely with Metrowerks CodeWarrior. Can
anyone point me to or tell me anything on porting it from a OS 9 Extension
to a OS X Extension or a background program or extension (whatever it is in
OS X now). This extension is gonna be listening on a port and it will be
displaying windows and sending data through the socket. Just to let you all
know. Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks a lot!
