A lot of people seem to misunderstand how Ambrosia's registration
scheme works. When you get the code, the program will accept it for 30
days. Once it's accepted, it stays accepted. No getting new numbers,
no phoning home, etc.
So the serial is a hash on the name & current day or similar.
But if the unlocking key is then written to the prefernces file then
what prevents the user from reading it there and giving that away?
And is anything done to prevent the user from simply turning back his
clock when entering the fake serial he obtained?
