Ranting here on the list doesn't help much

And when you do file a bug, please don't just say "bring back EOF!" Rather, be as specific as you possibly can about what exactly you want to do with it, how much time or money it would save you, how many Macs you think it would sell into what industry or market segment, and so on.

Don't make an emotional case, make a business case. The more detailed the business cases Apple sees for Cocoa EOF, the better they can prioritize any work they do decide to do.

For instance, one thing Apple could do almost immediately - if they see a business case for it - is sell an EOF 5 distribution license separate from WebObjects. You can still develop EOF 5 applications with Cocoa right now, you just have to have WebObjects 5 installed to run them. Oh, and you have to either write these applications in Java or call EOF from Objective-C via the Java bridge. If this will address your needs, say so. The clearer the market picture the decision makers can get, the better the decisions they should be able to make.
