I had the exact same problem. I don't know what caused it, but when I
compared the contents of the JavaKit.framework to that of another
computer, I could see several files missing. I copied these over, and
it has worked fine since.

This started after I upgraded to OS 10.1.3 and was not corrected after
installing all the packages of the December 2001 10.1 tools version and
the
tools update that followed.
I'm completely stuck. Can anybody tell me what else I could try ?
