But you are probably right Bill, Apple and Mac OS/X have no business in the business world and therefore there really is no need for any kind of database access layer, right?. I mean who would be stupid enough to want to use a Mac of any kind to access terabytes of database? Or for that matter gigabytes. And you are absolutely correct, we are much better off with no abstraction layer whatever if we were to be fool enough to want to actually access a database (on some other vendors hardware, of course). Of course, if we did we can just use WebObjects, in Java; because Java is the greatest client-app development language, right? No, wait, the greatest server app development language... or is it... wait, what did the marketing boys tell us? Long-live SQL APIs!
