The same thing happens if you link to ApplicationServices.framework on 10.2 and not its umbrella framework (Carbon.Framework or CoreServices.framework, I can't remember). When you launch it on 10.1.5, you get a bunch of linking errors.

Remember though, none of this happens if you load a dynamic reference to a framework and do *not* link to it!
