Ack.. just because there are faster processors doesn't mean that our
apps can become slower as a result. If this was done, it would still
give the appearance that Apple hardware is slower.
If you look at the compatibility aspect, writing Cocoa apps in Java is
a definite win because in theory, you don't have to modify your
binaries at all to run on the other side of the fence.
It was damn rare to have to do this on OpenStep and that covered 4
platforms (actually, 5 m68K, i86, Windows, Sparc and HP). There isn't
any need to go to a VM to accomplish this.
