They know. They used to. The big NeXT customers were outfits like Swiss Bank Corp.
and UBS (now merged into UBS), Nationsbank (now Bank of America), First Chicago
(now Bank One). Fannie Mae was another customer.

Most of them tried to move to Java. I know Bank of America in Chicago (at
the Sears Tower) has a NeXTSTEP 3.3 trading system that they're *still*
trying to move to Java.
