DOCK: CFMessagePortSendRequest returned -2

I get these "DOCK: CFMessagePortSendRequest returned -2" messages occasionally in the console window of PB when running my Cocoa program. Google turns up a few hits on the string but the ones I can read don't talk about the error per se. Searching the Apple Developer site shows a sample program that checks the return from CFMessagePortSendRequest() and returns -2 itself. I still don't know what this error is or what I might be doing to cause it. My program does change its dock icon periodically. Does anyone know what causes the diagnostic?
