Apple's not in the mouse-making business. I think the built-in driver
supporting second mouse buttons and scroll wheels on third-party USB
mice is fine and dandy.
It is. Until you're using a portable. I know multiple people who would
own Macs if they could have gotten a PowerBook or iBook with two
buttons, because they just didn't want to lug around a mouse with their
portable. And I can see that argument, which is why I'd prefer the
option.
