I entirely agree with your suggestion. I would subscribe to both. The
discussions are important and it would be nice to have the tech
questions/answers clearly separated.

Clearly, we've been ranging far outside of this range off late, and
the sheer volume of off-topic postings is starting to reduce the
value of the list.
How about a concerted effort to keep things on topic, and conduct
discussions in the appropriate forums?
