I have been lurking on this list for quite a while
it always amazes me how generous you lot are with your advice.....
So, rather cheeky of me but, I wondered if any of you could give me
some pointers regarding WWDC
I am a newbie with a basic understanding of applescript, project
builder and Cocoa.
I have read or am reading several books on Cocoa and applescript,
building simple Cocoa apps with objective C is the direction that I
wish to follow.
I have no previous programming experience beyond simple html.
My background is in Fine Art ( like I said, I am a newbie) I am
particularly interested in GUI design.
I currently can go through the whole process of designing simple apps
with PB using applescript and some objective C code. My efforts work,
all be it rather temperamentally :-)
I bit the bullet a few months back and bought myself a WWDC getting
started bundle and have subsequently booked an Applescript Studio early
bird session. (the Cocoa one being sold out)
I have never attended the conference before, I find the sheer number of
sessions available a little bit intimidating.
Really I was wondering if anyone had any comments that would help me
create a schedule that would introduce Cocoa topics at the right
pace/order. My gut reaction is just to go to as many Cocoa, development
tools and applescript sessions as I can that don't clash.
Any thoughts?
thanks,
Peter
