"Immoral" is a surjective word. Not everyone feels that stealing from
rich corporations is immoral (ever heard of Robin Hood?), and generally
its not a very good idea to attack someones morality. Not to mention
many people would disagree that providing tools for piracy is wrong.
Developing the software is legal in certain circumstances, for example
Gnutella. After all, if something like Gnutella is "immoral" for
allowing you to download copyright files, who's to say that "ftp" is
not "immoral", as it allows you to download copyright materials as well?
I'm sorry for the rant, and personally I prefer iTunes Music if only
for the music quality (I used to just buy CDs off half.com for a few
dollars then bother getting badly encoded illegal mp3s), and its a fact
that its illegal. I just feel that he has the right to request help for
a project that has not been convicted or even tried for any crime
without being attacked. Of course Apple, the owner of this list, might
and probably would disagree.

or haven't you understand a thing of what the guy was asking ?
It's entirely possible that I misunderstood. If so, everybody make fun
of me for the next five minutes. But from my chair, it sounded like he
was asking for somebody to finish a music piracy tool. It was that bit
about "easily download mp3's on the mac" that gave me that idea.
Downloading copyrighted music is, of course, both illegal and immoral.
I'm not flaming anybody. I just thought the guy might like to know how
his message came across, and would appreciate the opportunity to
clarify it if he so desired. In point of fact, I *meant* to reply only
to him privately, but blah blah stupid "reply all" button blah blah. So
apologies all around.
