Plus, I find the quality and integration of the Qt port on OS X to be
quite poor when compared to the level on integration it has on Linux or
even Windows. Applications built with Qt just look weird on OS X.

It's not about "embracing platform dependent code." It's about
embracing *quality*. We care about what we use, how we use it, what
we write, and how we write it. If we didn't, we'd all be working in
VB.NET on Windows.
