Well, it turns out that
- I was born under an unhappy star
- Some of my nib files are too huge (I found IB to be one of the main
trouble-makers)
- My projects have to be huge too (a lot of code and large resources, say, a
30.7M large movie - it alone would take almost all memory of my Macintosh SE
with 1M/40M in 1991!)
- My excellent apps launch behind their backs some anonymous dark forces
- I live 2 subway stations away from that famous "Nord-West" scene, so that
may be a terrorist hiding in the box and consuming my resources. However, I
opened the box recently to put inside an extra HD and there was no aliens.
...
Life is full of mystery, and it is great. :(
It all means upgrading to 1G may have no effect. :(
At least now I compile mm-files fast enough to afford using them somewhere
in the code. It was near to impossible with iMac G3/600MHz due to speed of
compilation.
The G3 iMac never seemed to lethally slowdown on big projects (however,
those projects were way smaller, I ran earlier versions of the tools and of
Mac OS X...).
Regards
Oleg

No, I'm afraid they don't, at least not by themselves. I've run PB+IB
