A list can be generated at runtime, using code like the following:
#import <Foundation/Foundation.h>
int main( int argc, char **argv )
{
NSAutoreleasePool *theAutoPool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init];
NSStringEncoding *encodingsArray = [NSString availableStringEncodings];
NSStringEncoding encoding;
while( encoding = *encodingsArray++ )
{
NSLog( @"%@ = %u", [NSString localizedNameOfStringEncoding:encoding],
encoding );
}
return 0;
}

Does anyone know if there is a more up to date table of character
encoding internet names supported on the Mac. Right now I am looking
at:
http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/macos8/TextIntlSvcs/
TextEncodingConversionManager/TEC1.5/TEC.b0.html#27830
It says it was last updated in Dec 1999.
Thanks,
