When are we going to see XCode for Jaguar? Does anyone have any info
on this? Also, will there be an update to Jaguar that includes the new
NSController classes? I expect there won't be, but it would be a very
nice thing. Especially since we can't reasonably expect everyone to be
using Panther for some time and if the NSController classes are Panther
only then that would severely limit their audience.
In the long run I'm sure NSController will be great for the platform,
but I don't expect it to be mainstream for some time, meaning that I
won't be using it in any of my current applications for a long time.
If I create any new applications I may consider using NSController
(limiting myself to Panther), but that would also limit my audience and
may not be worth it for a while.
If there won't be a version for Jaguar then maybe an open source
version should be created. I know the GNUStep people will want to stay
in line with Panther, so maybe we could work with them to create one
for both Jaguar and GNUStep.
