There is plenty of documentation containing example code; just browse
the documentation at
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/
or on your hard disk in
/Developer/Documentation
Most of the non-reference docs contain code snippets.
If you're after more complete samples, look at
/Developer/Examples
or
http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/
BTW, whether or not something is "clear" is pretty subjective---some
people have trouble with things that others consider very basic---so
you might find that you get very different points of view from
different people.
I know about O'reilly, I have some books.
Unfortunately these books don't really cover what I am trying to do.
If you don't have it, take a look at Cocoa Programming (Anguish, Buck &
Yackman); if you're trying to do something with Cocoa, chances are that
book will at least mention it...
If you still can't find any documentation, you could also tell the list
what you are trying to do and somebody will very probably point you in
the right direction. (Although please check the documentation and the
list archives at
http://cocoa.mamasam.com before doing this.)
I know about Apple's own documentation, I think it is majorly lacking.
It certainly isn't perfect, but from your complaint I think you've
missed a lot of it (BTW, the web-site is easier to navigate than the
documentation that the current [Jaguar] developer tools install in
/Developer).
Kind regards,
Alastair.
