Oops, this is false. What I really do is, if someone emails me directly about AppKiDo -- and only if they've mailed specifically to my email address -- I take the liberty of adding them to my list, which I only use for release announcements. So it's really an opt-OUT list.

My apologies for the misrepresentation. No sleazy spammer tactics intended, and I wouldn't take the same liberty with a commercial product.
