Hi Jacob,

A server app is running in an admin account, announcing its service using Rendezvous.

A client app is running on the same computer but in another user account. (Fast user switching is on.)

The problem is that the client app does not find the server app. (When running in the same user account they discover each other fine.)

Is this a known limitation of Rendezvous in Panther, or did I do something wrong?

This is not a known limitation. I just tested this and was able to discover a service which was being advertised by a different user on the same machine. Can you try advertising your service as "_http._tcp" and then see if it shows up in Safari while logged in as the other user. You need to determine if the problem is with browsing or with advertising.

Best Regards,

-Marc
