Right, but as I wrote in my earlier message, this creates a fairly
large amount of complexity for developers. Sure, it's easy the first
time you do it, but what happens the second time you launch the app?
Should you check the FS to see if the importers are still there, or
trust some user default that you might have set? What happens when you
upgrade your importer? You need to think about versioning. I'm not
saying that either of these tasks are difficult - not at all - but
taken together they offer a lot of opportunities for inconsistent
behaviour between applications, and for bugs.
I would vote for checking the app wrappers of all applications
registered with LS.
