Well, that's OK for me then.
e-mail is now more media rich than it was in 1998 (when plain text
ruled). People who still want plain-text should also, I guess, plan to
go back to Performas or maybe an 8150 server.
That's BS!
There are at least three reasons plain text still rules:
1) I (the receiver of your message) gets to decide how it should look
2) plain text can be shown on many mobile devices, so I can read
emails "on the go"
3) I can easily apply various searching, filtering, and/or indexing
tools on plain text
And then there is the bandwidth saved...
I really fail to see why I should downgrade my machine just because I
recognize the power of plain text -- not only that, but HTML emails is
a *disadvantage* for me mainly because of #1 and #2.
