Debugging System Prefpane

What is the easiest way to debug a prefPane?

I am currently trying to use the console.app and well it just doesn't work to well for me... I have been unable to find out how to debug with Xcode. I started this project in xcode 1.2 and now am up to 1.5 if that helps any...
