Hi there,
As I live on the other side of the planet, I was just wondering if
anybody who knows San Francisco can recommend a hotel close to the
WWDC convention centre?
The catch is that it's gotta be suitable for a person without a car.
I realise that nice, inexpensive and close to the convention centre
(or public transport?) are probably mutually exclusive :-)
I also realise that this is off-topic ( way off! ) but I figure
there's gotta be other non-US developers out there who'd like to know
as well?
Any help will be much appreciated!
Okay, to stay on topic:
1. Launch Interface Builder
2. Create a new Cocoa Application document
3. Add a WebView to the new window
4. Using the Inspector, change the window title to: "San Francisco
search"
5. Add a NSTextField to the new window
6. Create a link from the NSTextField to the WebView and connect it to
the action: takeStringURLFrom:
7. Type Command + R
8. Type: http://www.hotel-directory.com/sanfrancisco/ in the text field.
9. Hit the return key and check the result
Optionally:
10. Quit the simulator
11. Select the NSTextField and add a tooltip saying: "You don't really
need a car in San Francisco if your hotel is in the city as there is
Muni."
