Thanks for the info.
It is strange because the Jaguar developer documentation
shows the NSLineBreakByTruncatingMiddle constant as being
a valid line wrap mode in the App Kit API reference page
for the NSParagraphStyle class, but not in the programming
topics section on rulers and paragraph styles at:
/Developer/Documentation/Cocoa/TasksAndConcepts/ProgrammingTopics/
Rulers/Concepts/AboutParaStyles.html#CJBBEHJA
Empirically the latter is the accurate one of course.
Thanks again,
Tim.

As said, it works great under 10.3 but not at all under 10.2, yet
it works fine for Finder under 10.2. I'm not getting any warnings
of undefined methods being called on any objects so it seems
these methods are supported under 10.2, yet nothing is happening.
Do you have to do something different/extra to get this type of line
truncation working under 10.2? Is there something wrong with this
code for 10.2 but fine for 10.3?
The NSLineBreakByTruncatingMiddle option is not working in Mac OS X
10.2.
The Finder is a Carbon application so it explains why it's not
affected.
