Ummm ... ZIP will lose Mac-specific info like the resource fork,
though.
But BOMArchiveHelper is just a slightly beefed-up version of the ZIP
command-line tool. I'm using it in Shovel to take care of unpacking
ZIP archives.
I've talked about this at length in a previous thread on exactly this
topic. The list archives are your friend if you need more detail.
And to make searching the list archives painfully easy, use the
"Search lists.apple.com" service that Mailister provides:
Download Mailister <http://projects.gandreas.com/mailister>
Put it somewhere in your applications folder (or the service won't be
recognized)
Log out and back in (or else the system won't know that there is a new
service).
Select BOMArchiveHelper above in Mail.
Select "Search lists.apple.com" from your services menu.
Enjoy the results.
Seams to be the thing I want, and the tool was nice. Unfortunately
this: http://lists.apple.com/archives/cocoa-dev/2004/Mar/msg01577.html
is the only search result that turns up, and the thread is not complete
(Or I have completely missed how to use the archive page). A link to
the post in question would be appreciated.
And no I am not interested in Mac specific data, as the source files
comes from Windows users.
regards
Fredrik Olsson
