This looks very cool indeed. The only problem is that $700 is a lot of cash for developing non-commercial software, either free-ware or just home tinkering. This raises a couple of questions:


1) Is there anything even close to this sort of functionality as free-ware or open source?

2) Does RT Labs offer any sort of license for using this for personal use without any redistribution rights?
