supporting applescript in cocoa

Hi,

Im trying to persuade my app to support some very basic applescript; more exactly I want to support this specific command:

set image of face i to "some/path/name.tiff"

where I have 6 faces (cube).

Ive been staring at the sketch example until my eyeballs explode but somehow Im just not getting it, Ive looked over:

http://cocoadev.com/?HowToSupportAppleScript

and a bunch of other sites both on and off the apple website but nothing anyone is saying is making much sense to me...Ive managed to support basic properties using an application delegate, but nothing more advanced than that.

most of the examples Ive found seem to be either too basic, or way too complex (looking at you sketch :)

does anyone out there know of a nice, step by step series of instructions designed for the terminally stupid?

thanks for any help.

Yours cheerfully,

Andrew Bush
