As a result, they don't advertise their Cocoa openings, but this
friend is active in the local Cocoa and NeXT and Perl development
communities, and basically finds all of his hires through networking
once he's had a chance to see that they have a brain and that they can
both design and code in a different setting. It wouldn't surprise me
if this is a more widespread practice.
It sounds like it probably is the case - time for redoubled plugging of
uk-nextstep-users methinks :-)
Assuming it's not considered OT for the list, if anyone *did* get a
Cocoa job through an advertised channel, could they explain where it
was advertised? If it is considered OT, then by all means kill this
branch of the thread, and post the answers to a wiki like CocoaDev.com
instead ;-).
Cheers,
Graham.
