I have an open source project called Volley that could really use some more people on it. It's a client-server application suite inspired by Hotline and the like (chat, file sharing, message boards, etc), where all of the services are provided by plugins instead of being hard-coded. The cool thing about it IMO is that plugins can also add server support for new protocols (HTTP, FTP, etc) to access existing services. The basic system and protocol are in place, so now it's a matter of fleshing out the features.

To make it more topical, I've been using the Volley client as my introduction to Cocoa programming :)
