Well researched posts cuts down on unnecessary list traffic. The topic that your last post was leading up to, and what you've expanded on below, is interesting - but I found that intermediary step a bit redundant... That said, it's not up to me to police the list, so I owe you an apology.

I don't consider explaining why I misunderstood something for the sake of others (who may have thought the same thing) as redundant since most people on this list (yourself included) frequently reference the list archives more than any other online Cocoa reference.

Building good information (ie, turning a wrong answer into more useful information) is a good thing and the attitude that it's just "unnecessary list traffic" is a bit presumptuous since it doesn't take other's knowledge and experience into account. It may be 'unnecessary' to you if you fully understand the subject but definitely helpful to those who don't (or who misunderstand it). I'm glad my misunderstanding has resulted in an archived correction and clarification as well as an idea for improvements to the developer tools.

At any rate, this meta-discussion is definitely off-topic for the list and I won't comment on it further - just wanted to air my own opinion on what's "unnecessary".

At least they could give that menu item a default title that indicates that it will in fact be replaced automatically. That's something they could do right away without having to change any code, or risk breaking something.

This is exactly what I was thinking; a "tag" in the project template would work just fine. The same as the "company" or "author" tags in the template code files. I think the main menu has been a bit overlooked, especially if this has been the behavior all along (whether I knew that or not :-)).

I will file an enhancement request this morning.
