I want to control the Classic environment. To start it, I simply
launch
Classic Startup. That starts a daemon called 'TruBlueEnvironment.'
Now, I can get the pid of that process easy enough. But if I use
'kill'
won't that force quit the app? I do want to force quit classic but
I also
just want to quit it 'nicely.' So my questions, how do I force quit
classic?
And, how do I 'quit' classic? I'm hoping there is a way to do this
without
calling Unix, but I will if I have to.
Also, how can I keep tabs on TruBlueEnvironment? I want to be
notified when
it gets killed. This might be very easy (I hope so) but it might not.
Why do you need to control Classic? Besides, the Classic preferences
panel already does all this stuff. And you are aware that Classic is
gone on all Intel Macs, right?
