Cocoa Newbies: Is this the best list?

  • Subject: Cocoa Newbies: Is this the best list?

Hi. I'm new to Cocoa. Indeed, I was quite pleased recently to have achieved the dizzy heights of such wonders (!) as:

[fieldLow setIntValue:1];
[fieldHigh setIntValue:15000];
[guessMessage setIntValue:(([fieldHigh intValue]-[fieldLow intValue])/2)+1];
[guessCounter setIntValue:14];

and

[fieldHigh setIntValue:[guessMessage intValue]];
[guessMessage setIntValue:(([fieldHigh intValue]+[fieldLow intValue])/2)];
[guessCounter setIntValue:[guessCounter intValue]-1];

... but AS a newbie I am overwhelmed by the level of expertise by other users of this particular list - much of what I read goes way over my head at this point in time.

I DO pick up SOME useful tips from here and will continue to subscribe, but does anyone know of a 'beginners' version of this list that I could subscribe to as well, while I'm a beginner?

Thanks a lot guys.

Phil
