Your question was answered by several people. Extra information
was offered by way of warning due to the wording of your original
post (I thought the same thing when I read that -- "ooh, legal
issues"). If a legal warning is not being helpful, I don't know what is.
So the answer is that you'll have to use the Accessibility API,
but even this won't get you all the way there as there's really
nothing (supported) that can.
Also, for what it's worth, it's unrealistic to ask people to keep
things to themselves when you're discussing things on a mailing
list / forum. You're addressing the public - people are going to
comment and you'll have to learn to deal with it whether you agree
with the comments or not.
