I think most people appreciate having the option of opening multiple
documents/databases even if they seldom use this feature. I
automatically open the last used document in Debt Quencher so most
people will probably never "litter" the desktop with multiple
documents, but they can if they so desire. Why limit someone unless
you are trying to maintain a single library of information like
iTunes or iPhoto?
