Have you considered using MathType to create your equations, which
can then be saved in a variety of formats (e.g. GIF) and, I presume,
loaded into your program? I'm very inexperienced in using the
graphics capabilities of Cocoa, but I can vouch for MathType being a
very solid program (plus the price to academics is very reasonable).
Take a look at http://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathtype/ where you
can download a 30-day trial.

Can anyone point me to how one might somehow display
trig/calculus/etc... functions in a view somehow? I'd like to explain
the solution that my app is performing and draw equations w/ the

the same way you would read from a text book.
Only I'm just a bit clueless doing this in cocoa. Any help much
appreciated.
